Yankee Stadium

The new Yankee Stadium features more than 550 Sony BRAVIA® and professional LCD HD television sets in the luxury suites, restaurants, concourse areas and lounges. Fans can also take a break from the game with the Playstation3 systems or VAIO computers that are available for use in the suites.

From their seats, fans can still enjoy Sony-produced HD content. The new stadium has a full HD control room, which uses Sony professional HD cameras and camcorders, production switchers and decks to produce HD images that are fed to the huge LED board in centerfield, and to many of the TVs throughout the park. The HD control room features Sony XDCAM® HD optical camcorders (model PDW-700), with XDCAM PDW-HD1500 decks for video recording and mastering. The XDCAM HD optical camcorders and decks will shoot and edit a variety of video elements, since it allows crews to capture high-quality footage that can be easily edited. Sony HDC-1400 studio cameras and an MVS-8000G production switcher are also being used to produce video content.
