Curt Pair
Director of Photography/Editor

This DP has captured all walks of life, from news to sports, corporate to documentary, music videos to behind the scenes. With a passion for telling compelling stories, Curt's work has taken him all over the US and the entire world. From the Oklahoma City bombing to Portugal, looking for Madeline McCann, Curt's news skills are second to none. In the world of sports he's covered just about everything from Tiger Woods to the Super Bowl. His work has appeared on every major television outlet for the last 17 years.

Curt Pair has been capturing images on film, videotape and now HD media for 25 years. He was one of the youngest staff members to ever work for The Stars and Stripes newspaper, being hired as a teenager. He continued shooting still images for several years working for the Houston Chronicle and various BMX and rock and roll magazines.

Curt Pair started his television career while attending the University of North Carolina. His first job was a graphic artist, and part-time editor. That quickly turned into a photojournalist position. Upon graduating from UNC, he went to work at WIS-TV as a photojournalist. Curt worked for several stations before founding Picture This Productions, Inc. in 1999. A full service video production company, PTP clients include: ABC news (20/20, Downtown, GMA, World News), CBS (Early Show, Sunday Morning, 60 Minutes II, CBS Sports, Evening News), NBC (Today, Nightly News, Dateline), America's Most Wanted, CNN (Anderson Cooper 360, Headline News) The PGA Tour, Fox Sports (Fiesta Bowl, Super Bowl, World Series, NASCAR, NFL Sunday), NBA Entertainment, Discovery (Military Channel, Animal Planet), NASCAR, Walgreens, Herbal Life, and Barret-Jackson (Life on the Block, Corporate/Marketing).

I was introduced to XDCAM back in 2006; a single demo was all it took. Once I started using the file based media system, I never wanted to shoot tape again. It is that good! Switching to the XDCAM HD format not only increased workflow productivity, but made our overall productions much more efficient. "PTP's" clients have also taken notice. "Our clients have noticed that the images are spectacular, the format is robust, and we're able to move projects through the post process much faster; this is a huge savings to them and they're appreciative."

PTP's have aided several clients in the transition to high definition by utilizing XDCAM HD. America's Most Wanted, Walgreens, NASCAR Images, The Phoenix Suns, The Arizona Diamondbacks, ABC, CBS and Barrett-Jackson have all leaned on us for the knowledge and expertise in making their HD transition smooth and effortless.
