The PMW-300K1, with 14X HD lens, meets today's broadcast standards around the world with its ability to record 50Mbps in MPEG HD422, while looking ahead to the future with the capabiltiy of supporting Sony's revolutionary new XAVC™1 codec in HD. In addition, Sony has developed an advanced signal processing technology to offer high light sensitivity and low image noise, ensuring clear high-resolution images.

The PMW-300K1 uses an MPEG HD422 codec and can record Full HD (1920 x 1080) at 50 Mbps in industry-standard MXF files. It can also record MPEG HD420 (1440 x 1080) at 35 Mbps/ 25 Mbps and DVCAM at 25 Mbps in MXF files. XAVC Intra and XAVC Long are available now with version 1.40 firmware upgrade.

A Viewfinder that You'll Flip Over

With a large, easy-to-read 3.5-inch* QHD color LCD viewfinder as a standard accessory, you have outstanding resolution of 960 × RGB x 540 pixels at your fingertips, which strongly supports critical focus control during HD shooting. Flip open the viewfinder cover to enhance visibility when the camcorder is on a tripod.

The PMW-300K1 is equipped with two lines of SDI output, allowing, for example, you and your director to check shot contents at the same time via two separate monitors. Connect your PMW-300K1 to the professional displays as well as consumer TVs via an HDMI interface. In addition, the USB connection is available for directly connecting to a PC or a wireless adapter.

The PMW-300K1 offers TC In/Out and Genlock In connectivity. The camera also includes a 700 protocol remote interface so that you can control various camera settings using an optional RM-B170 Remote Control Unit.

Wireless Convenience with CBK-WA100

The PMW-300K1 is designed to support the wireless operation using an optional wireless adapter. This adapter can stream video to a mobile device, enabling your crew to check shot contents immediately on-site. Once recording is completed, transmit the high resolution or proxy files2 back to the station via Wi-Fi/3G/4G/LTE. The wireless adapter also enables remote control of basic camera functions via the mobile device.
