Sony Authorized XL Reseller
An upgrade is now available for the PMW-EX30 to enable 1920x1080 progressive recording via HD-SDI input.This upgrade includes the following enhancements:
1. HQ 1920/1080 23.98PsF/ 25PsF /29.97PsF input via HD-SDI and recording in 23.98P, 29.97P or 25P.
2. Select if 16:9 information is embedded on down-converted SD video outputs (On/Off).
3. "All Clips" copy function to copy all clips from Slot A to B (and vice versa).
4. Down-converted DV output via i.LINK®, during the HQ mode playback, as well as SP mode playback
The upgrade is for the following serial numbers:

To identify models for the upgrade:
1. Check the serial number(s).
2. Review Menu items:
After the upgrade, Video Format: HQ 1080/30P and HQ 1080/24P are added as new items on the OTHERS page in menu.
3. Check the product label on the PMW-EX30 carton:
A yellow seal on the label indicates the unit has already received the upgrade.
Upgrade Fee:
There is no charge to the customer for the installation of the software upgrade. However, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs of the unit to the Sony Service center.
