Doug Jensen DP/Cameraman and President of Vortex Media In 1983 I graduated with a BA in Film/Television production and Accounting from BYU. In 1984 I started a one-man-band production company in Utah (www.JTVProductions.com) and sold it in 1998 with 6 employees, 2000 sq. ft. studio, grip truck, 3 camera packages, and 3 NLE edit bays. From 1999 to 2005 my wife and I worked as a 2-person Betacam crew in New England for all of the broadcast networks and most of the major cable channels (see www.DougJensen.com for more information). In 2005 I began cutting back on freelance assignments to concentrate on my own productions. Vortex Media now produces the "HandsOn" series of camcorder instructional DVDs and has an ongoing contract with a division of Barnes & Noble to produce digital SLR instructional DVDs under the Magic Lantern brand name. Vortex Media also manufacturers and markets the WarmCards White Balance Reference System, MediaFiler Database Software, Storm Jacket Camera Covers, and the VortexHD Stock Footage library. See www.VortexMedia.com for more information. ![]() Please note that the views expressed by the presenters in this video are theirs, unless otherwise stated, and may or may not reflect the views of Sony Electronics Inc. or any of its affiliates. |
