New Programs Help Prevent Unanticipated Repair Costs and Downtime
Ministries looking to safeguard their investment in new technology can take advantage of two new Sony service programs designed to help users of Sony's VPL series LCD projectors prevent unanticipated repair costs and reduce downtime.
Recently introduced by Sony's Professional Services group, the new programs include Extended Warranty (EW) and On-Time Support (OTS) plans.
"These new programs can allow customers to continue to receive the best possible service and support on their Sony projectors," said Bill Cubellis, Sr. Manager, Sales, Marketing and Administration for Sony's Professional Services Group. "They're also available with different levels of options and terms, to offer additional value and peace of mind after the sale."
There are two versions of the new Extended Warranty program, which can extend the standard Sony product limited warranty from three years parts and labor to a total of either four or five years parts and labor from the date of product purchase.
The new programs also include all parts and labor on repairs of problems caused by defects in material or workmanship. Return shipping costs for the customers' covered Sony VPL product are included, as is toll-free telephone support and technical assistance from the date of purchase.
There are also different levels of the new On-Time Support program, extending the one-year currently included in Sony's standard product limited warranties to either a total of three, four or five years from date of product purchase.
Customers can also receive a comparable loaner projector to use while their model is being repaired, which will be shipped to them for delivery by the next business day.
All shipping costs for the covered Sony products and loaner units are included, as is toll-free telephone support and technical assistance from date of purchase.
Pricing for the different versions of each program are organized into three tiers, based on the list price of the VPL projector model to be covered. The programs are sold at the time of purchase or up to 30 days after the main product sale.
