Sony's new BRC‑X1000/1 & BRC‑H800/1 cameras have a full
1.0-type sensor with big benefits. Unlike typical PTZ cameras
with 1/2-inch or 1/2.3 sensors, these cameras use Sony's
Exmor R® CMOS sensor for:
- Ultra-high sensitivity
- Amazing zoom capability (up to 48x HD*) with Clear Image Zoom and Tele Convert Mode
- Excellent resolution and color reproduction
That's why these BRC cameras are the go-to cameras for
auditoriums, large classrooms, event halls, and civic centers.
*Software upgrade, v2.0, available Summer 2017
Sony's huge 1.0-type sensor gives you a larger area for imaging than other cameras, which feature as many as three sensors. The BRC-X1000/1 and BRC-H800/1 incorporate Sony's latest back-illuminated CMOS Exmor R sensor. The sensor delivers high resolution and fantastic low light performance, as well as offering more depth-of-field control. Exmor R technology achieves 2x higher sensitivity with less noise as compared with conventional image sensors with the same pixel size.
Typical PTZ cameras use 1/2-type sensors. Some models use even smaller 1/2.3-types. Sony's BRC‑X1000/1 and ‑H800/1 lead the way with a full 1.0-type sensor. And that makes all the difference. The X1000 delivers 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160) at 30p and Full HD images at 60p with no sacrifice in low-light sensitivity. Thanks in part to Sony's back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor design, minimum illumination is an impressive 1.7 lux – perfect for low-light applications.
Sony's leadership position in 4K began in the broadcast industry, where Sony has developed several unique technologies and features for its 4K cameras. Increasing the size of the image sensor allows the camera to capture more light as the environment darkens. And using a back-illuminated structure, rather than a front-illuminated one, doubles the camera's light sensitivity characteristics. These innovations have made Sony 4K synonymous with outstanding image quality.
Clear Image Zoom is super resolution technology that doubles the optical zoom while still delivering exceptional image quality. The optical excellence of a genuine 12x optical zoom Zeiss® Vario-Sonnar® T* lens with Clear Image Zoom capabilities to 24x in HD allows enlarging the image while maintaining image quality. The lens starts at an ultra-wide 65.6° horizontal angle of view. When you reach telephoto end, the camera transitions seamlessly to Clear Image Zoom algorithm for up to 18x (4K) and 24x (HD).
The new BRC-X1000/1 pan/tilt/zoom camera can output both
Full HD and native 4K (3840 x 2160). Sony's giant 1.0-type
Exmor R CMOS sensor has larger light-detecting
surface than typical PTZ imager chips, so you get super sensitivity.
Pan and tilt are exceptionally smooth and ultra-quiet. The 12x
optical zoom extends to 18x in 4K (24x in HD), thanks to Sony's
Clear Image Zoom technology. And there's Power over Ethernet
(PoE) for easy, flexible installation.
This HD PTZ camera features Sony's renowned back-illuminated
1.0-type Exmor R CMOS image sensor, unique
digital image processor, and reliable 12x Zeiss Lens. That's
what enables you to shoot precise, detailed, high-quality, high-sensitivity
HD video with low noise levels. Plus PoE delivers
easy installation and cost savings. From broadcast studios
and remote on-air suites to live sports events and lecture halls,
this new desktop or ceiling-mountable PTZ camera can match
nearly any application need.
Enjoy easy, ergonomic PTZ control of multiple remote cameras for live events. This compact remote controller features a high‑quality joystick that allows seamless pan, tilt and zoom adjustments of compatible Sony BRC PTZ remote cameras. Zoom can also be controlled via the joystick or a supplementary seesaw lever. In addition, dedicated knobs and control buttons simplify direct access to frequently-needed camera functions.
