At this years ASIS show, we announced 14 new products ranging from cameras to NVRs. The compact X-Series was a big hit, but an even bigger conversation piece was XIs; Sony's latest wide-area monitoring system. Dubbed "Visual Radar," a mock up of the monolithic camera system rose up from the corner of our booth and panned the show floor with its two massive broadcast lenses. It was quite a conversation piece.

Sony's New X-Series Network HD Cameras
Sporting an ultra-compact housing and stylish design, the X series is used in environments that require high performance in a small footprint. Sony's New E-Series Network HD Cameras
Sony is pleased to introduce two strong additions to the 'E-series' of cost-effective network HD cameras. They are the SNC-CH260 and SNC-DH260 with built-in IR illuminators. Sony's E-Series delivers excellent picture quality in 720p HD resolution at 30 frames per second, with dual stream capability. Incorporating the new Exmor™ CMOS image sensor from Sony, these cameras feature high sensitivity and Day/Night function with removable IR cut filter.

Network Encoders and Storage Servers
Sony will also be showing new network surveillance server. The Sony NSR-S10/1T is a 4-channel network video recorder with 1TB of storage. Also available is the NSR-S10 that ships without internal HDD. These recorders provide users easy setup and operation. The NSR-1000 server includes monitoring and search modules that incorporate Sony's DEPA technology to increase the accuracy of object detection capabilities.

RealShot™ Manager Lite Software
Entry level management software for up to 9 Sony network cameras
IP video surveillance systems have many advantages over traditional analog CCTV systems, however, an effective management software is necessary to fully capitalize those advantages. RealShot Manager Lite (RSM Lite) is the entry-level video management software for Sony's network camera and encoder lineup. It has the same intuitive interface as RealShot Manager Advanced, the full software version, and is designed for small and medium sized applications with up to 9 cameras. It is optimized for ease of use and straight-forward installation. A software wizard guides users through setup and registration, and recording just takes one click.
