Sony designed an exclusive program to provide 3rd Party Resellers located in the U.S. with the essential support, information, tools, and incentives needed to help successfully integrate Sony Security products into IP video surveillance solutions. System Integrators, Value Added Resellers, Security Dealers or IT Resellers can apply to become Sony Security Preferred Resellers from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013.

If your application is approved, we will email confirmation to you.

Upon application approval, we will contact you to arrange a time to conduct an initial training session for you or your sales and technical specialists.

After satisfactorily completing the initial training session, we will issue a user ID/password and link to the portal site via email.

Benefits of the Sony Security Preferred Reseller Program

Recommended SSPR Price Program

SSPRs have opportunities to benefit from Sony's recommended SSPR price programs. Actual SSPR price and discount rate is determined by distributors and may vary with each distributor and by the category of SSPRs.

Dedicated portal site

SSPRs have access to the program's dedicated, password protected portal site containing valuable information. User ID and password for the sales specialist and the technical specialist are informed upon reseller registration approval. If an SSPR needs additional users, the SSPR sales specialist or the technical specialist can request it to the program steering committee.

Project registration discount/rebate eligibility

Project registration discount/rebate is designed to support the efforts of those SSPRs who successfully commit significant additional sales and technical resources to design-in Sony Security Systems products into a specific end-user project. All projects must have built into them a minimum of $20,000 (at Suggested List Price) of eligible Sony Security Systems products.

eNewsletter

SSPR get a periodic eNewsletter full of valuable information from Sony. eNewsletters are sent to the e-mail addresses provided during the application process.

Listing on Sony website

SSPRs can choose to be listed on sony.com/security if they want.

Field sales and technical support

SSPRs can choose to receive both sales support from Sony's regional or inside sales personnel and technical support from Sony's regional solutions engineers.

Webinar series

SSPRs are invited to attend informative webinars arranged or conducted by Sony. The webinar series covers many topics like product tutorials, technologies, applications, promotions, etc.

Welcome Kit

SSPRs will receive a Welcome kit containing details of the SSPR program upon being approved by the Program Steering Committee.

Various promotions

SSPRs have access to various promotions offered only to SSPRs (e.g. demo program, product promotions, etc.)

Terms and Conditions

Objective

The Program is designed to provide qualified 3rd party resellers located in the US, excluding Hawaii, with the necessary support, information, tools, and incentives to integrate Sony Security Systems products into their solutions.

Administration

The Program is administrated by the Program Steering Committee of Sony Electronics Inc.

Period

April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013

Authorized Reseller

The Sony Security Preferred Reseller ("SSPR") is defined as a reseller who independently chooses to adhere to the terms and conditions of the Program and is approved by the Program Steering Committee. The Program Steering Committee also determines the SSPR's status of Platinum, Gold or Silver.

Requirements

1. Purchase from Sony Premier or Authorized distributors: SSPRs must purchase Sony Security Systems products only from the following Sony distributors.

• Anixter Inc.
• Communications Supply Corporation
• Ingram Micro Inc.
• ScanSource, Inc.
• Tri-Ed / Northern Video Distribution, Inc.

2. Resale of Products

An SSPR must purchase products for resale to end-user customers only, and is strictly prohibited from reselling Sony security products to other dealers, VAR's, system integrators or SSPR's.

3. Assignment of sales specialist and technical specialist

Each SSPR must assign a sales specialist and technical specialist within its organization. The sales specialist must be able to explain the value proposition of Sony Security Systems and benefits of its products to end-users. The technical specialist must be able to demonstrate the benefits of Sony Security Systems products and to integrate them into the authorized resellers' solutions to end-users. The sales specialist and the technical specialist can be the same person.

4. Completion of initial trainings

Sales specialists and technical specialists must satisfactorily complete initial trainings conducted by Sony's SSPR Program Administrator, Sony sales managers, Sony solution engineers or Sony sales representatives. Times for training will be scheduled by Sony.

5. Adherence to minimum advertising price (MAP) policy

The MAP policy is as follows: SSPRs must advertise Sony Security Systems products at Sony's suggested list price or higher. List prices are provided at www.sony.com/security.

Reseller Registration Application

To register for the Program, the reseller must submit a completed Program web application form found at www.sony.com/security. Registration is completed upon approval by the Program Steering Committee.

Reseller Withdrawal from the Program

SSPRs may withdraw from the Program at any time at their election.

The Program Steering Committee may remove a reseller from the Program for failure to comply with the Program requirements whereupon the reseller will no longer have access to the Program benefits.

Others

SSPRs are not allowed to transfer or assign any of the Program benefits to any third party.

Sony reserves the right to modify or terminate this Program at any time without notice.
