There is nothing like having options. And that is what Sony's Smart cameras are all about. Now you have the choice of running Linux® (model # XCI-SX1) or Windows® XPe (model # XCI-SX1/XPE) operating software right out of the box. The XCI-SX1/XPE camera easily utilizes 3rd party machine vision software libraries now that the OS configuration work has been taken out of you hands. The new XCI-SX1/XPE Smart Camera model comes with Windows XPe operating system already embedded in the Smart Camera. The XCI-SX1/XPE model consists of the following items: XCI-SX1 Smart Camera - 1 unit; Compact Flash (1 Gig) - 1 unit; and, Windows XPe Operating System software.
