Bryan Carroll and Dante Spinotti will discuss working with Sony's F23 camera, which was used on Michael Mann's upcoming release "Public Enemies" opening July 1, 2009, and featuring an all-star cast, including Johnny Depp. Topics will include the benefits of a digital workflow and the post production advantages of shooting using Sony's HDCAM SR® tape. Hugo Gaggioni speaks of recent advances in signal processing algorithms and speed in component processing, leading to new technologies beyond conventional HD. This session covers engineering practices for the transmission and processing of 60P and 3D content.
