The VPL-MX25 projector offers a variety of wireless network features*. In addition to the Windows® Vista Network Projector network presentation feature, this unit also offers wireless network features, such as network file viewing and remote desktop.

The VPL-MX25 projector is compatible with the Windows Vista Network Projector function. Using this function, the VPL-MX25 projector can be connected to a Windows Vista PC via a wireless network. Unlike Sony's AirShot® wireless network function, this Windows Vista Network Projector function does not require any proprietary software.

The Network File Viewing function is a convenient function which allows users to access PC files remotely from the VPL-MX25 projector. There is no need for a file format conversion process prior to viewing. It only requires both the PC and the projector to be network* connected.
* VPL-MX25 projector is required to be wireless connected.

This function allows the VPL-MX25 projector to control a Windows XP or Windows Vista PC via a network. Using the USB connector on the projector, both a keyboard and mouse are required* as controller devices. The projector displays the GUI image on screen, just like a dual-display or a so-called clone.

By installing Microsoft Windows Media® Encoder streaming server software, a PC can operate just as a streaming server. This Streaming Client function enables the VPL-MX25 projector to display streaming videos.

The VPL-MX25 projector incorporates an HTTP server. Using the IE browser, this function offers one-stop turn on/off operation of multiple projectors located in different rooms. This also offers additional one-stop operations, such as remote switching of the projector's input channels, monitoring lamp hours, and e-mail notification of lamp exchange timing.
