4K Live Production

An end-to-end 4K3D solution for the O.R.

Step up to Sony's complete end-to-end 4K3D solution for video capture, recording, video over IP, content management, storage, and retrieval. From viewing the procedure over 4K3D monitors to recording in the O.R. on a 4K3D recorder, transmitting the content on our new IP converter, and then storing and sharing them on our Content Management System (CMS), Sony offers the widest range of equipment for 4K3D vision on the market today.

Introducing Sony's new 4K3D displays
for the O.R.

These are the first medical-grade displays on the market that allow you to upscale your 3D vision in the O.R. to extraordinary 4K clarity. If you work with 3D endoscopic systems or perform robotic surgery, you can now see in resolution that's 4K — sharp enough to capture far more defined details of an image. And these monitors allow everyone in the O.R. to see in 4K3D as well.

Amazing first-of-its-kind technology gives you extremely bright images with incredible definition and virtually no pixilation. These 31"* and 55"* displays, which work with the daVinci® SI robotic system and other 3D endoscopic or robotic systems, provide four times the resolution of HD for unsurpassed clarity of surgical vision. Among their unique features are:

  • 4K ULTRA high-definition 3D picture and wider color gamut
  • Advanced Image Multiple Enhancer (A.I.M.E.™) technology for 3D that enhances structure and color for more comfortable viewing
  • Direct 2D/3D select button

Record in 4K3D

These displays work perfectly with the Sony 4K3D recorder. The 4K2D/ 4K3D video recorder enables the recording of 4K video and still images from endoscopic or laparoscopic camera systems, surgical microscopes, and other compatible medical imaging systems. The recorded images can be included in patient records and used for training and education.

Convert and Manage Content

Sony's new IP converters are able to manage massive 4K files for distribution. These converters can transmit medical imaging signals as IP data, including HD or 4K audio-visual and control signals, to a variety of medical equipment over a single optical fiber cable in near real time. So you can quickly and easily move patient images from the operating room to devices such as monitors or recorders within the O.R. suite, lecture halls, or doctors' offices.

Share and Distribute Content

Share and Distribute Content

After recording, you can use our Content Management System (CMS) for sharing that video through the hospital network or via the internet for training and education. Sony's CMS is the simple and comprehensive way to manage your digital content. CMS is a centralized medical assets management system that can archive video, still images, and documents effectively and can enable easy and secure access to them throughout a hospital's network. It offers an efficient, web-based way for surgeons to share all types of surgical video for education, training, and consultation with other surgeons and clinicians. The system is comprised of a dedicated professional server pre-loaded with Sony CMS software.
